Dr. Ahmed Nour El Din, Chairman of the Tourist Guides Syndicate, said that choosing Cairo and Luxor to be among the best tourist destinations in the world stresses the historical and cultural value of both cities.
Dr. Nour El Din mentioned, during a phone conversation with the daily program (Breakfast Show) , that the choice was made by the esteemed (Trip Advisor) site which is highly trusted by millions of tourists all over the world.
He added that both cities are famous not only for their marvelous historical sites but also as centers for entertainment and activities.
He pointed out that tourists in Cairo can visit the Pyramids, museums, and enjoy the Nile cruises. Also tourists in Luxor can enjoy visiting the temples at Karnak and Luxor and ride air balloons and make a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan.
He said that the activities held in Egypt in 2021 as the Mummies Parade and the inauguration of the Rams Road in Luxor helped in attracting tourists to Egypt.
He finally expected an unprecedented increase in tourists during the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum which is expected to take place next November in memory of the 100 year anniversary of the discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb.
