On Egypt's hosting of the Triathlon African and Arab competitions, President of the Egyptian, Arab and African Federation Major general Ahmad Nasser said that it is a golden opportunity for hundreds of athletes from 37 countries to participate in the the Africa Open Tournament in Sharm El Sheikh. Egypt is hosting competitors from almost all countries from all continents; America, Europe, Asia and Africa, he commended.
Speaking on the Panorama programme, he highlighted that Triathlon is a complicated sport combining running, biking and swimming. It is an African Open and anybody can take part to get points and thus get ranked, he explained. It was the first time for Japanese triathletes to participate in a competition in Egypt, he stated.
On top of the honor list were veteran actor Sameh El Serety, eminent sport writers Ayman Badrah and Ashrraf Mahmoud, and President of the Nile TV International Dr. Taghreed Hussein who was grateful to the federation. In her statement, she said that it is Nile TV International Channel which was honoured for branding Egypt globally.
Supporting her point, she asserted that Nile TV has always been present with the champions as they were always on Scoresheet and on the coverage of the channel. Nile TV was always there hosting champions and sending messages of success, love and peace to the whole world, Hussein concluded.
