Economic expert Dr. Diaa Eldin Helmy stated that the government aims at reviving and preserving Egypt’s heritage and supporting crafts sector workers
Hailing the 4th edition of “Turathna (Our Heritage) Exhibition for Handicrafts and Heritage” inaugurated by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Economic expert Dr. Diaa Eldin Helmy stated that the government aims at reviving and preserving Egypt’s heritage and supporting crafts sector workers.
Over the phone to (Cairo Local Time), he shed light on the fair scheduled to run till 15th October, saying that it provides the citizens with a good business opportunity in the field of small, medium and micro businesses which are essential for our development.
He assured that the inauguration was done by the prime minister himself and this gives a meaningful message to the exhibitors, encouraging and supporting them and providing them with economic security. The fair aims to market various products locally and internationally, he reaffirmed.
Dr. Helmy pointed out the importance of handicrafts since the pharaonic era. Egypt is famous for this kind of industry and it will help us export to other countries such as Arab countries and Europe through promoting ancient artistic heritage and consolidating everything that expresses the Egyptian identity.
He added that the 4th edition has got a 45% increase in the exhibitors compared to the 3rd one. Five Arab countries are participating in the exhibition as well, he highlighted.
More than 1,100 owners of projects specialised in heritage products are participating, he illustrated, and there is a pavilion showcasing the products of project owners from the villages which are part of the “Decent Life” presidential initiative.
The exhibition will provide aspects of financing, training and marketing for new or existing projects, and to display dozens of indicative feasibility studies in many industrial, agricultural and service fields to encourage citizens to entrepreneurship and identify investment fields.
