Dr. Maher mentioned, during an interview with (Nile Cruise) program, that Egypt succeeded in organizing the World Handball Championship amid the challenge of COVID-19 for which many other countries have cancelled hosting other tournaments.
He praised the good planning and organization of the event and the great performance of our national team as well as the good preparations and precautions taken by the government to safeguard the health of all participants.
He added that the government has been prepared for the tournament by establishing stadiums and sports infrastructure and it succeeded in organizing and marketing the events.
Maher finally pointed out that sports events help in communicating with various nations with their different cultures, adding that all the participant teams thanked Egypt for the hospitality and many of them expressed their keenness to visit Egypt again.
