Engineer Shady El Safty, Vehicles Engineering expert underlined the importance of turning vehicles to operate by natural gas which attains economic and environmental benefits.
In that regard, he gave credit to the wise leadership for new discoveries changing the energy map of Mediterranean, referring to Zohr gas field.
In light of the first exhibition President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi recently inaugurated for the technology of transferring cars to clean energy usage, he reassured during an interview on (Breakfast Show) that vehicles’ clean energy conversion and replacement technologies are a new culture and great to be observed due to the low price of the clean energy gas and its target of cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
Hailing such an initiative in the automotive domain, the engineer praised the contribution of the private sector in the expo organized by the Ministry of Trade and Industry; 20 companies, 9 banks in addition to the Central Bank of Egypt, and 5 ministries.
Throughout Egypt’s history in the field of clean energy gas stations for conversion, El Safty said that we have sufficiency as we have now 220 charging stations across the country. Highlighting Egypt as a role model in the region, he underlined its new horizons in electric transportation and clean gas to export to the whole African continent.
He emphasized on the pivotal role of the media in enlightening people of how great it is to go through a new technology with all of its fruitful impacts on our health and so our life.
It is pertinent to mention that the exhibition took place at Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) on January 4 and the presitential initiative started to bear fruit as the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency signed two cooperation protocols with the Natural Gas Technology at EGP 100 million each.
