Political Analyst: Sisi in Japan represents Africans’ hopes

Political analyst Dr. Amr Abdel Rahman said that Egypt represents Africa and its interests.

Political analyst Dr. Amr Abdel Rahman said that Egypt represents Africa and its interests. It also represents the hopes and dreams of the whole African peoples and nations, he asserted.

Interviewed in (Breakfast), he mentioned that Japan is a key country and an ally to the west and a very important power in the Far East. Referring to President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi visit to Japan on the occasion of TICAD, he added that Egypt has achieved a very strong level of relations with it in all aspects.

The president is taking part in the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD). Moreover he expressed his appreciation to the people and government of Japan for hosting the conference which Egypt co-chairs with Japan on August 28-30. The summit will be attended by African leaders.

The TICAD conference aims at launching a new phase of strategic partnership between Japan and African countries based on mutual understanding, in addition to increasing Japan's contributions to Africa's development.
