Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said that immediate action is needed to face the negative repercussions of climate change.
Plenkovic mentioned, during an interview with Nile TV International on the sidelines of COP 27, that the previous year witnessed very bad weather conditions and disasters that proved that the issue of climate change must be taken seriously.
He pointed out that all the participants in COP 27 are committed to make this session a platform for implementing strategies and policies to decrease the negative effects of climate change.
He stressed that the developed countries must shoulder their responsibilities and try to alleviate the burden of poor and developing countries by helping them to face climate change effects.
Concluding, he thanked Egypt for the successful organization of COP 27 and stressed the good ties between Croatia and Egypt as two Mediterranean countries.
