Rashid:War of Attrition first step towards October Victory

Major General Pilot Hassan Rashid said that the War of Attrition, that began days after the 5th of June 1967 War, was the first step that led to the October War

Major General Pilot Hassan Rashid said that the War of Attrition, that began days after the 5^th of June 1967 War, was the first step that led to the October War victory in 1973. 

Major General Rashid mentioned, during an interview with ( Nile Cruise) program, that the War of Attrition gave hope to the Egyptians for a near victory. 

He added that hard training, discipline, good planning, missions and engagement with the enemy during this war, have taught our soldiers everything about the enemy's points of weakness.

Further, he stated that the Egyptian engineers have modified many Russian weapons and jets to make them more effective. 

Rashid reiterated that the coordination between the Egyptian and the Syrian Armed Forces was very fruitful on both fronts.     

Concluding, he noted that the October War victory returned not only our lands but our pride and dignity. 

He finally saluted all Armed Forces officers, soldiers, pilots, doctors and engineers who participated in this victory.
