Sports expert Emad El-Banany expressed his happiness with Egypt’s results in the 2022 Mediterranean Games in Algeria, believing that cooperation between our athletes, the Egyptian National Olympic Committee (ENOC) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) is the reason for such good results.
In a phone call with (Cairo Local Time), El-Bannay hailed the proper preparation of our athletes before the tournament. He pointed to the superb teams we met, stressing that such competitions are considered training for other sports’ championships.
He also praised the Egyptian players for the amazing performance regarding their efforts as a step forward for coming tournaments in different games especially in running, fencing and handball.
The sports analyst highlighted Basant Hamida’s historic achievement as well as her colleagues’ results in fencing and weightlifting considering them “models” for youth.
The Egyptian delegation ranked sixth in the Mediterranean Games competitions with 51 medals, divided into 13 gold medals, 15 silver medals and 23 bronze medals.
