Dr. Fouad Mahmoud Fouad, Head of the Dairy Science Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University, said that the new dairy complex, inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi in Sadat City will enhance food security in Egypt.
Dr. Fouad mentioned, during an interview with the daily program (Breakfast Show), that the project includes livestock complex and automated slaughterhouses .
He added that dairy products, especially milk, are necessary for human health and nutrition, they are full of vitamins, calcium, magnesium as well as proteins.
Moreover, he pointed out that the project will enhance the quality of dairy products, stressing the importance of raising the awareness of the dangers of some unhygienic products from a few small farms.
He finally reiterated the necessity of providing farmers and milk producers with machines and pasteurizers to improve the quality of their products.
