Tourism expert and historian Ehab Kamel hailed Egypt’s participation and reassured that publicity and propagation for Egypt
In the light of the International Tourism fair held in Madrid, Spain, on January 19-23, Tourism expert and historian Ehab Kamel hailed Egypt’s participation and reassured that publicity and propagation for Egypt as a touristic destination is of great significance as fairs are more like a business summit, a way to propagate and it is the place where you show your capabilities and treasures.
Hosted by (Breakfast Show), he added that the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FITUR) Madrid is the correct place where we exhibit our travel product in front of tour operators and holiday makers as the fair compiles 23 Latin Spanish-speaking countries and more.
He called for enriching Egypt pavilions through airing the Royal Mummies’ parade all the time, the ceremony of the ram-headed Sphinx statues avenue at Karnak Temple in Luxor, etc,… We must show these things which add to them more touristic attractions and create an exotic, magical atmosphere matching with the mental image the tourists have.
He insisted that we need to retrieve our original brand which is cultural tourism. Beach holidays and tourism are cheaper than cultural tourism, he illustrated, and don’t offer the expected income while cultural tourism is more expensive as the quality of visitors is far better and the segment of travelers it attracts is higher in spending and brings the class A tourist. In this regard, he urged that hence we need to increase this kind.
Kamel mentioned the role of social media as communication platforms between Egypt and Latin America countries to invite them to visit Egypt. We need direct airlines from those countries to Egypt as we talk about more than 300 million persons. Our country has lots of attractions adding to them suitable weather, great infrastructure and hospitable people to deal with. Thus we can combine joint programs with some countries around us and raise the level of cooperation which will increase the demand for Egypt and we can extend our own airlines to South America, he concluded.
(Breakfast Show) is aired daily on Nile TV International. This episode is presented by Nermeen Abdel Rahman.
