Hadhoud sheds light on benefits of increasing domestic production

Dr. Moustafa Hadhoud, Energy Professor, said that increasing domestic production will help in decreasing our imports and increasing the exports which will be reflected upon our economic growth and development.

Dr. Hadhoud mentioned, during an interview with the daily program (Breakfast Show), that President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi gave directives to the government to promote domestic production with the aim of making Egypt one of the 30 advanced countries in the world by 2030.

He added that recently, many factories and mega projects have been established which can change raw materials into local products that can decrease imports, especially in the field of natural gas and crude oil.

He pointed out that factories are also built to manufacture tires, plastic, rubber and fertilizers which help in agricultural development and land reclamation.

He finally stressed that also new factories are opened to use sand for the manufacture of glass and solar cells, and other factories for the production of steel from iron ores which help in building bridges, cars and houses.
