He admitted the good performance of the Al Ahly club in the semi-finals match against South American champions Palmeiras, as appreciated in the global Football arena.
Over the phone with (Cairo Local Time), he said that President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi’s congratulations to the team indicates that we are witnessing over the last 4 years a new era of Egypt headed by an insightful leadership which pledged to appreciate the skilled figures and get the best of human power at all levels, especially at the sport level.
“That was conspicuous in New Administrative Capital”, he said, referring to Sisi’s keenness to launch the project for establishing the Sports Complex in NAC.
Commenting on the global press and its recognition of the Al Ahly’s winning streak, Hammar asserted many European and South American coaches’ appreciation that Al Ahly is so great and worthy to participate in global competitions and clinch the ninth African title in Al Ahly's history.
