Nile TV International presenter Deena Yunis shed light on one of the old Roman’s burial habits.

She clarified that when the Greeks occupied Egypt with Alexander the Great for 300 years, they brought with them their own burial habits.

In a new segment of (Breakfast Show) program, Yunis elucidated that the tombs in the west of Alexandria city belong to the Roman period and its all private tombs.

She said that the most important of the Roman tombs in Alexandria are those of the Kom El Shokafa area, as they are unique in their design.

She added that the tombs of Kom El Shokafa walls reflect the mix between the Egyptian art and the Greek Roman art.

Deena said that the Catacombs lie in Karmuz’ district in the west of Alexandria city and belong to the first and second centuries AD which is the Roman period.
