Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Head of the Referees of Alexandria Zone for Handball, said that our national team showed hard work and persistence that enabled it to reach the quarter finals of the World Handball Championship.
Dr. Abdel Wahab mentioned, during a phone conversation with (Cairo Local Time) program, that during the last match against Slovenia our team began the match with lack of concentration and many mistakes that resulted in Slovenia’s leading during the first period of the match.
He added that our team made a great comeback in the second half of the match, the players implemented all the coach’s plan and tactics and showed heroic determination to win.
He pointed out that our team claimed a precious 25:25 draw against Slovenia which marched it to the quarter finals.
He declared that our team’s next match will be very tough because we will be playing against Denmark, one of the strongest teams in the tournament.
