Dr. Rasha Hassan, Assistant Manager, said that the Palace is a masterpiece that includes various Islamic and Western architectural styles.
Dr. Hassan mentioned, during an interview with (Nile Cruise) program, that the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is celebrating the 117th anniversary of the establishment of Prince Muhammad Ali’s Palace in Manial by allocating free visits for the public.
She added that this will activate internal tourism and increase the archaeological awareness of the public.
She pointed out that Prince Mohammed Ali himself planned the decorations of the Palace, he brought different artifacts from his grandfather’s palace in Istanbul to put it inside his palace. Hassan declared that the designs inside the palace vary from Mamluk and Ottoman styles, to Persian, Andalusian and European styles.
She finally said that the Palace is divided into many halls such as the throne hall and the golden hall, a clock tower, a mosque, a museum and a garden with unique plants.
