On Nile TV International’s continuous focus on ancient Egyptian life, Deena Yunis elaborated that fishing has always been a way of life.
During a special episode of (Breakfast Show), Yunis shed light on the lifestyle of one of the most beautiful places in Egypt, the Nubian life in Aswan.
She pointed out that Aswan enjoys a massive amount of Nile water existing in the 350km of Lake Nasser. She clarified that Lake Nasser behind the High Dam thrives with fishes.
Yunis stated that the Nubian whose life has been connected with the Nile, they worked as sailors and fishermen. She elucidated that the clear water and the running currents around the Cataracts form a beautiful natural protectorate.
In that respect, she gave another example of the old Egyptian famous fishing villages, the village of Rakuda which became the base of the city of Alexandria and it is known today as El Max village, whose people's life was tied with the waves of the Mediterranean Sea.
