Dr. Yussef Mazhar, Member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, said that the development of the Suez Canal Zone is essential for improving the economy and attracting investments.

 Dr.Mazhar mentioned, in an interview with the daily programme (Breakfast Show), that the new projects that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inaugurated in the SCZone will create huge job opportunities especially for the youth.

Elaborating, he added that the June 30 axis will link Sinai with other cities across the country. While the July 3 tunnels in Port Said will link Port Said with Sinai and facilitate transportation in the zone.

He affirmed that the government is keen to develop the SCZone, which includes Port Said, Ismailia, Suez and Sinai, because of its great importance to the Egyptian economy.

Finally, Dr Mazher reiterated the importance of making use of Sinai’s treasures such as marble and granite to develop the industrial sector in Egypt.
