 On its new sightseeing vacation in Egypt, Nile TV took us to Anderson museum, as an art museum located in Cairo, adjacent to the mosque of Ahmed ibn Tulun.

Nashwa Rashed elucidated that the house was the resistance of Gayer Anderson, a British officer in the Egyptian army. He was known as an orientalist and the house was named after him, Anderson Museum.

Underlined the importance of this site, she said that the museum is noted for being one of the best preserved examples of 17 century domestic architecture for its vast collection of furniture.

 She clarified that this magnificent house was added in a museum in 1937 when the Egyptian government decided to transform it to be a well preserved example of early Ottoman domestic architecture.

Moreover, she said that all the places in this museum were very well made to show some good details and also fascinating colorful pieces of glass which was used to decorate the rooms.
