Winner of the first prize in “Cairo Innovates” program Dr. Mostafa Hussein
Winner of the first prize in “Cairo Innovates” program Dr. Mostafa Hussein said that his project is about design and implementation of solar power station used for desalination of water and sea water. His team had undergone many phases to implement that project and achieve it in its best performance, he boasted.
In (Cairo Local Time), he added that he works with a whole team which compiles engineers and chemists, so the prize belongs to all of them. Guided by Professor of Water Chemistry Dr. Hossam Shawky, the project started five years ago. It consists of two parts and produces pure water to be used in drinking or agriculture.
Dr. Hussein asserted that Egypt will benefit a lot from such project as it uses a different technique to save water and reproduce it as pure in a saving and economical way. He is looking forward to seeing it in the local and African market.
Over the phone, President of the Academy of Scientific Research Dr. Mahmoud Saqr congratulated Dr. Hussein and said that the academy supports the young inventors at the early stage of their career, so it developed some initiatives: one of the most important is “Cairo Innovates” which creates suitable atmosphere and environment for them and highlights innovative ideas from the Egyptian community that helps ease some problems and identifies innovative solutions for our problems.
