Dr.Medhat Mourad, Tourism expert and Member of Tourism Chambers, said that Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), currently held in Egypt, is considered a free marketing for tourism in Egypt.
Dr. Mourad mentioned, in an interview with (Nile Cruise) programme that the whole world is praising Egypt for the fabulous opening ceremony which was described as one of the best opening ceremonies in the history of the competition.
Moreover, he added that the AFCON matches will take place at stadiums in Cairo, Alexandria, Ismailia, and Suez Canal governorates, and that will enable foreign fans to enjoy the touristic sites not only of Cairo but of other places not as known for tourists as the capital.
He finally pointed that the AFCON is not only a football tournament, but it is a festival for Egypt, indicating that it is safe and secure and regaining its right place in the region.
