Nawar highlights negative effects of emissions on global economy

Dr. Zeinab Nawar, Professor of Economics, said that the greenhouse gas emissions have negative effects on the global economy and especially on agriculture.

Dr. Nawar mentioned, during an interview with the daily program (Breakfast Show) that the world leaders meeting on the COP 26 reiterated the importance of implementing the Paris Agreement.

She added that, in his speech in front of the conference, President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi explained Egypt's efforts, initiatives and projects to preserve the environment.

She pointed out that lots of problems have resulted from climate change, for example, in Africa it led to the desertification of many lands, and in Asia it negatively impacted economic activities.

He finally declared the importance of collaboration between world countries to reach concrete measures to limit global warming and preserve the environment , the health and the livelihood of the peoples of the world.
