Taghreed Hussein, Nile TV Senior correspondent, said that COP 27 climate Change Convention discusses the most urgent and pressing global challenges, and tries to find solutions to the dangerous effects of climate change
On the sidelines of the conference currently taking place in Sharm El Sheikh, Hussein mentioned that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in his speech at the inaugural session of COP 27, was keen to stress the importance of collaboration between world countries in creating a clean and sustainable environment and thus saving our world's natural resources.
She added that President Sisi also appealed to world leaders to end the Russian-Ukrainian war that negatively impacted the whole world and caused global food and energy crises.
Further, she pointed out that the agenda of the convention includes topics such as geopolitical crises, fires, drought, desertification and erosion.
Hussein praised the positive vibes during the session and the keenness of all participants to reach concrete solutions that will change the lives of millions for the better.
She finally noted that youth plays a pivotal role in COP 27 activities and organization, as they share in climate action and thus brand Egypt globally.
