General Ehab Youssef, Security Expert said that the Egyptian martyrs have sacrificed their lives for the safety of Egypt.
General Youssef mentioned, during a phone conversation with the daily program (Breakfast Show), that all the country's institutions observe the memory of the Martyr's Day through paying tribute to martyrs and their families.
He added that the Martyr's Day has been celebrated in commemoration of the martyrdom of the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Army, Abdel Moneim Riad, during the war of attrition with Israel in 1969.
He pointed out that President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi is keen to meet with the families of the martyrs from the Armed Forces and the Police on this day to express to them Egypt's gratitude for the sacrifices of their martyrs.
Further, he stressed that protecting our country's safety and peace is not only the responsibility of the Armed Forces and the Police, but of all the Egyptians, who proved along history their success in combating terrorism and extremism.
He finally declared that Martyr's Day is a significant event that raises the awareness of the new generation of the high price paid by our martyrs to maintain our country's safety and security.
