Dr. Ahmad Osama asserted the significance of President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi’s meeting with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock
Member of the Egyptian European Council for Foreign Affairs political analyst Dr. Ahmad Osama asserted the significance of President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi’s meeting with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and German Ambassador Frank Hartmann in Cairo. Germany has high reputation companies working in Egypt with their latest technologies, he uttered.
Hosted by (Breakfast Show) he said that Egypt and Germany have mutual concerns and cooperation in various fields, thus the visit of the German foreign minister in such time with the new change of the government in Germany means that they are keen to resume what they have begun in the last few years in critical cases whether locally or internationally.
He added that there is a great collaboration between both countries in fighting terrorism and seeking an end to the illegal immigration phenomena. Germany knew that if the southern side of the Mediterranean was not secure, they would be badly affected.
Dr. Osama affirmed that President Sisi is the first president of Egypt to work with serious and tangible decisions to coexist the society to have and feel its identity.
He admits that Germany is discussing the Ukrainian crisis with our state which indicates that Egypt is a strategic partner and a heavyweight country. This reflects how Europe and Germany in particular are evaluating and recognising the weight and the value of Cairo as a central country and one of the key players worldwide.
In the same context, Ambassador Hussein Hareedy shed light over the phone on the Germany’s cooperation topics with Egypt such as the bilateral relations and regional issues as well as the Palestinian question, and topics of mutual concern as the Libyan crisis and the Middle East security.
He added that foreign ministers discussed bilateral concerns, military, security, economy, commerce and investments.
Hareedy shed light on COP 27 which will be hosted by Egypt next November in Sharm el Sheikh where we can benefit from the German experience.
