Amb Bayoumi lauds Egypt's concerted strategy with Gulf States

Ambassador Gamal Bayoumy stressed the importance of the visit paid by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan to Egypt

Ambassador Gamal Bayoumy, Former Assistant Foreign Minister, stressed the importance of the visit paid by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan to Egypt and hailed the two countries’ deep-rooted ties and their active role in supporting the regional issues. He reassured the Gulf States’ full support to Egypt’s diplomatic dialogue concerning the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.

In a special edition on a press conference held between Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Saudi counterpart after holding a committee of follow-up and political consultations between the two countries, Bayoumy said over his voice that Egypt’s consultations are substantial with Saudia and Gulf States at local and international levels, in addition to coordination and cooperation to advance progress at many levels as proven in the Suez Canal Zone and in common interest to combat terrorism, illegal immigration, money laundering and drug trafficking.

In containing the global outbreak of the COVID-19, he paid tribute to the enlightened directives by our leadership to overcome such a pandemic amid colossal efforts to maintain our economic strength through a reform agenda launched 2016. He concluded that Egypt is pursuing endeavors to invigorate investment and promote the banking system, referring to the Arab countries as Egypt’s target to boost in order to maintain regional stability.
