Innovation and technology management consultant Dr.Nezar Samy said that digitalization helps in overcoming the effects of the corona pandemic and leads to the utilization of different resources of the country.
Over the phone to (Cairo Local Time), he explained that without having the infrastructure of technological development, many businesses would suffer from lots of challenges and lack continuity and sustainability.
He hailed the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology as it went through the public private partnership and the engagement of multi-stakeholders in order to facilitate and enable different services starting from the infrastructure level, databases and even the application layer with all participants in order to have the proper utilization of technological application.
He asserted that Egypt is taking paces in digital transformation encouraged by the presidential initiative of the digital projects. The platform of the digital Egypt is applied in ministries, and most of the government services are added every now and then, a bunch of services have been engaged and inaugurated on that platform which are widely used by cellular phones or through websites.
Dr. Samy mentioned the Decent Life Initiative where thousands of villages and rural areas will be covered with networks and high speed internet connectivity. This project was recognized by the United Nations as a landmark era for Egypt.
He elaborated that technology affects the shape of daily life. Some of the key advantages of technology are saving money and resources, competitiveness, ease of doing businesses, confronting corruption, reliability and sustainability of services, fast moving action into direction as well as digital governance. All these will lead to achieving Egypt's vision of 2030, he asserted.
He added that technology enables people to use their brain power much more effectively rather than their muscles and enriches the value of everybody to do business. It is a matter of skills, upscaling and modifying one’s skills and capabilities, he remarked, concluding that technology is safe to save and preserve the information in light of the technical errors and piracy and Egypt has its law of data privacy and security.
