Dr. Sherif Amir, Professor of International relations, said that lack of International cooperation in finding solutions for Middle East conflicts ignites terrorism

Dr. Sherif Amir, Professor of International relations, said that lack of International cooperation in finding solutions for Middle East conflicts ignites terrorism and extremism. 

Dr. Amir mentioned, during a phone converstion with (Arab Affairs) program, that terrorism is the biggest challenge facing the region, and the main hindrance for development and progress.  

He pointed that countries that foster terrorism and provide safe haven to terrorists should be sanctioned by the United Nations. 

He added that President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi was keen to stress Egypt's readiness to cooperate with the United Nations and support its different agencies to fulfill stability for the region. 

He reiterated that Egypt worked with different parties to help bring stability to Libya, and Iraq. 

He finally declared that Egypt participated in different negotiations to reach a peaceful settlement for the Palestinian cause, which is the central Arab cause, and it succeeded in brokering a ceasefire last May and helped in the reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
