Prof. Singer asserts paramount tripartite summit in Iraq

Professor of international relations Dr. Ashraf Singer said that President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi arrived in Baghdad, the first after 30 years of Egyptian presidential absence, to attend the tripartite summit with Jordan and Iraq. He evaluated the President’s visit as it reflects the state’s vision established in 2019 when Egypt made an initiative with both countries to introduce a new era of cooperation as one of Sisi’s priorities is to bring all the Arabs back.

Over the phone to (Cairo Local Time), he added that the Arab cooperation is reflected on the ground by this visit, supporting the bilateral trade, discussing the future agreements on the security and unity in the region. This crucial tripartite cooperation, he explained, helps in solving and dealing with common challenges to increase stability and one of the major achievements of this visit is showing the will of the UAE, Saudi Arabia and all the Gulf states to bring Iraq back.

He affirmed that the talks among the three countries were very fruitful as they agreed on stopping terrorism and extremist groups, and on bringing stability and safety to the region.

Dr. Singer praised President Sisi’s vision to preserve Iraqi union and build it as it is one of Egypt’s responsibilities. Accordingly, Sisi has put action on the ground to see Iraq a strong peaceful country, he reassured.
