Dr. Youssef Mazhar, Former Assistant to Minister of Industry, said that news of establishing a new fast train is of great importance because of the speed of the train, which will cover a total distance of 850 kilometers in four hours, its modern structure besides being the lifeline to many other small projects within the total railway system.

During a phone call with (Breakfast Show), Mazhar said the new railway project is a massive one that covers most of Egypt away from the Nile Valley as the new line will be out on the desert area.

In light of the plans President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi revealed to establish a new railway line between the northern 6th October City in Giza to Upper Egypt’s Aswan in the south, he mentioned that the express train between the two cities will be a high technological shift in the sector and the lines passing through Egypt south aim at alleviating pressure on the already overwhelmed traditional Upper Egypt train lines.

It’s pertinent to mention President e-Sisi’s statement Saturday as saying that Egypt is upgrading 10,000 kilometers of railway lines across the country and adding that by the end of the year, all old locomotives and railcars will have been replaced.
