Michael William, Tour Guide, said that the Religious Complex in Old Cairo reflects the harmony and peaceful coexistence of various religions on the land of Egypt.
William mentioned, during an interview with (Nile Cruise) program that the area includes Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque, many Churches, among them the Hanging Church and a Jewish Synagogue.
He added that we can see Islamic designs inside the churches and the synagogue and Christian influences in the glass of the mosque which proves the intermingling of the three religions.
He pointed out that the area also includes the Coptic Museum which holds ancient artefacts from Egypt’s Christian history.
William declared that the area also includes the cavern where the Holy Family lived during their stay in Egypt.
He finally stressed that Egypt was blessed in the Holy Books as a peaceful haven for prophets.
