Beauty expert Youmna al Qatari highlighted that the latest trends in looking beautiful and applying makeup in 2021 go to very light makeup. In winter, she said, light purple, light pink and the nudes and matt not the glittery are the fashion; no foundation is applied, rather the BB or CC cream which gives a healthy and natural look. Layers of heavy foundation are no more trend in 2021, she remarked.
Hosted by (Breakfast Show), she recommended the powder highlights over the eyes. She also gave some tips for bumpy circles and bags under the eyes, for wrinkles and blemishes and for breaks in the skin. Qatari commented on makeup removers and formulas and how to use them, not just by wiping the skin as this process leads to skin fall.
She explained that the makeup has a correction for everything; for example under the eyes, the corrector has to be blue or grey. Though the orange colour corrects any blue or dark circles, yet this colour is no longer a trend and is replaced by a dark concealer, two shades darker than the skin colour, the expert added. But for the wrinkles, she preferred using an eye cream, noting that light eyebrows can be drawn by special pencils to fill them. The bushy brows and lashes extension continue trends in 2021, she illustrated.
Lipsticks have a new trend called the “tint” for the lips and cheeks which suits university and everyday working women, the expert said. The glossy lips continue as a trend and the nude colours as beige. She advised ladies to put natural kinds of scrubs on their lips as well as There is also the trend of the lipliner.
Qatari explained the role of the contouring on the face shape starting with cream contouring for narrowing the nose, widening the eyes, hiding the double-chin, lifting up the nose, minimizing the forehead, contouring the jawline, the chin, the cheeks, etc. and finally, she provided some pieces of advice and tricks on having a glowy look.
