Egyptian master swimmer champion Dr. Ahmed Fouad said that his goal arises from his lifestyle which involves healthy nutrition and good physical activity. 

Hosted by (Score Sheet), he credited his success to his father who took him to swim at the age of 12. Though he started at that old age, he caught up quickly and became one of the best swimmers. When he was 17, he got a silver medal while joining the National Club, he recounted adding that he then joined the Faculty of Medicine and later became a lecturer in the High Institute of Physical Education.

In 1965, he immigrated to Canada where he started as a head coach for swimming and water polo at McGill University where he attained great success with the students till they won the trophy and beat Toronto and achieved the national championship breaking three records.

Dr. Fouad declared that though he is 86 years old, yet his body acts as if he is 59. This is due to his healthy lifestyle: he eats properly, 80% of his meal is fruits and vegetables, he doesn’t eat red meat, he swims daily or goes for training for an hour and he sleeps early before 10 o’clock. He admits that laziness is our worst enemy. 

He stated that his philosophy with his swimmers was that he wants them to live their family life in a perfect way. He used to deal with them as students not swimmers.  He trained them as athletes to shape their bodies first then they can be swimmers.
