Egypt’s Former Ambassador to Sudan Mohamed El Shazly asserted that Egypt always pays great emphasis on cementing its deep-rooted relations with Sudan and shoring up its stability. Importance of Sudan to Egypt is long-standing within all domains; economy, geography, culture, security and history, he elaborated. Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry’s latest visit to the Sudanese Capital, Khartoum, is critical in time and proves Egypt’s stance by Sudan’s government.
Over his voice on Nile TV’s panorama in light of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry’s recent meeting with the Sudanese top brass after a new cabinet was sworn in last Sunday, he reaffirmed that it is prior to form such a reshuffle for Sudan as one of positive steps towards stability. He reiterated that its security is part of Egypt’s stability.
Elaborating, he said that the most daunting challenge in Sudan is its economic problem of debt in addition to softness of the Sudanese people. In that regard, he is optimistic about its settlement as the Sudanese new Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and Finance Minister Ahmed el-badawy are proven highly respected and economists.
