Dr. Sherif Hosny, Management and Self-Development Consultant, said that the gap between parents and children is a global phenomenon.

Dr. Hosny mentioned, during an interview with (Nile Cruise) program, that the main reason for the gap is the difference between the ways of thinking of each generation.

He pointed out that parents want their children to continue their own goals and dreams, not to live their own.

He added that there is no common language between the generations mainly because this generation has different ways of thinking because of the enormous advance in technology.

He declared that parents have the right to guide their children and help them to decide, not force them to decide what they want.

He stressed that teenagers are very sensitive, parents should help them find their talents without choosing for them their career. 

He finally said that there must be a good way of communication between parents and children built on mutual respect and understanding.
