Saeed Kishk, Researcher at Islamic Research Academy, said that the month of Ramadan is a month of mercy, compassion, meditation, forgiveness and helping poor and needy people.

He mentioned, during a new episode of (The Revelation) program, that being lazy and sleeping all day long contradicts with the main purpose of the holy month.

He added that Ramadan is not an excuse to slow down work, but it is a month of productivity and activity, for being a hard worker during Ramadan doubles God's rewards for you.

He declared that Ramadan was always a month of victories, for it was during the month of Ramadan that Prophet Mohammad and the early Muslims defeated the well equipped army of Quraysh in the "Battle of Badr".

He also pointed out that the Conquest of Mecca , when the Prophet marched from Medina towards Mecca and entered it without a battle, was also during Ramadan. Prophet Mohammad declared his forgiveness to all his enemies who persecuted him and forced him to leave his beloved home.

He finally stressed that also the Egyptian army declared to the whole world that Egypt is hard to break through and win the 6th of October 1973 which took place also during the month of Ramadan.
