Director of the Egyptian Family House in London Mostafa Ragab stated that "Decent Life" initiative held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi is one of the most important projects in places used to be neglected for ages and it came today to revive those areas.
Hosted by (Cairo Local Time), he added that Minister of Emigration Dr. Nabila Makram adopted the idea and promoted it since the last conference in August when she received him and the president to discuss the joint cooperation in order to serve the Egyptian entities abroad and the possibility of their participation in the national initiative for the development of Egyptian rural villages.
For his part, he admitted that the best way to promote this project is that each group in Europe takes the responsibility to develop one of those areas. In his meeting with Dr. Makram, he suggested that Egyptian entities abroad would be the first to take the project and fundraise for it and make sure it will be developed. He marked the minister’s suggestion that they could start with a village in Mansoura, which has recently undergone a severe ordeal as it had lost 20 of its sons in an illegal immigration trial.
He continued that once they receive the full details of the project and its estimated budget, they will promote it with the community in Europe, especially in the United Kingdom and open a specific bank account for such projects. Those entities could help in the reconstruction of Egypt’s villages by raising awareness and providing needed projects, he said.
Egyptian entities abroad provide Egypt in the field of economy, he confirmed, as they try to help import the Egyptian products to Europe and they achieved great success. Sooner the UK market will be a great market for Egyptian goods especially as it is leaving the European Union, the director highlighted.
Ragab agreed with the minister on organizing tourist trips for young Egyptian expats at affordable prices to foster their bonds with their motherland Egypt.
(Cairo Local Time) is aired from Saturday to Thursday. This episode is presented by Amal Mokhtar.
