Sofian Ragab, Editor-in-Chief of Tunisian Assabah Newspaper, said that Tunisia stands again as a model for freedom
Sofian Ragab, Editor-in-Chief of Tunisian Assabah Newspaper, said that Tunisia stands again as a model for freedom after the decisions of President Kais Saied in which he dismissed the government and froze the parliament.
Ragab added, during a phone conversation with (Arab Affairs) program, that opinion polls show that more than 87% of the Tunisians support the President’s decisions.
He asserted that world powers such as the USA and France also support the new developments in Tunisia as well as important regional countries such as Algeria and Morocco.
He pointed out that International Organizations such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund support the constitutionality of the measures taken by the President.
He mentioned that the public and international support thwarted the plans of Ennahda party to enter the parliament and challenge the President’s decisions.
He finally declared that the new developments in Tunisia were expected after the deterioration of the political, economic and health situation in the country.
(Arab Affairs) program is presented by Mona Moselhey.
