Al Assoumi:Sisi worthy of Leadership Medal for commendable reform

Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Al Assoumi expressed the parliament’s keenness on awarding President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi the Leadership Medal.

Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Al Assoumi expressed the parliament’s keenness on awarding President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi the Leadership Medal, the highest award presented to kings and heads of state in the Arab region, as he has played a major role on the Arab, regional and international levels. The Egyptians were happy with the medal which manifests the love, status and esteem Sisi has in the hearts of his people, he reassured.

Hosted on (Exclusive), he added that the Arab parliament has always endeavored to be present especially in matters of morale. He acknowledged that there are milestones that should be historically recorded. Today is an important stage, he asserted, and President Sisi has played a key part in settling many issues related to the Pan-Arab affairs and the joint Arab work and thus he deserves all this high standing.

He stressed that the president has introduced Egypt to the world as an Arab model of development abounding in achievements. He has presented the Arab World with momentous services, made decisive initiatives and has taken stances that have their impact on the Egyptians and the Arab people as well, thus he is so esteemed and highly regarded.

Al Assoumi praised Sisi’s role in supporting the Arab causes in numerous situations which protected countries, the Pan-Arab national security, the destinies of the Arab peoples from foreign covetousness and protected the sovereignty of the Arab States from foreign interventions. All those stances are written in luminous gold for the great leader.

He stated that Sisi handled situations in a way that conforms to Egypt’s high status. He launched several initiatives to back up the Palestinians and the Libyans such as his contributions to ceasefire agreements, his dispatch of humanitarian and medical aid, and his role in bringing about a Palestinian-Palestinian reconciliation.

He added that the president stood against any interventions in the Libyan crisis. This is a commendable position which he should be lauded for as he called for non-interference in the internal affairs of the Arab countries.

He hailed the giant leap in upgrading the infra-structure in Egypt. According to his view, the development in Egypt should be contemplated. Colossal national projects are being carried out and multiple initiatives are being made on the state-level thus job vacancies are concerned and the economy becomes strong and solid.

Commenting on Sisi’s unprecedented visit to Djibouti, he believes that it aims at strengthening the Arab and African unity. It is so important owing to Djibouti’s strategic location in the continent and has a significant impact that reflects the far-sightedness of the president in dealing with Arab countries and to promote joint Arab action.

He also asserted that the Arab Parliament rejects any one-sided decision on the Renaissance Dam file. The parliament upholds the Egyptian and Sudanese point of view and the Arab states support the two countries. The parliament solidifies the wise moves and efforts made by Egypt and calls on Ethiopia to be cooperative to put an end to this matter in a wise manner which sticks to the international accords. The parliament has contacted various African and international parliaments and several organizations to help solve the issue.

Finally, he hopes there will be a binding legal agreement in order to maintain the stability of Africa and ward off any possible conflicts among the concerned parties.
