Dr. Refqy highlights new projects within "Decent Life"

Dr. Ahmed Salah Refqy, Social Systems Engineer, said that the second phase of the "Decent Life " Initiative is targeting around 1500 villages across Egypt.

Dr. Refqy mentioned , during an interview with (Nile Cruise) program, that the "Decent Life" Initiative, launched by President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi in 2019, is a comprehensive plan to improve the quality of life in poor communities within the framework of the Sustainable Development Strategy: Egypt Vision 2030.

He added that the initiative helped in lessening the negative impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic  through improving sanitation and providing water and health services to deprived areas.

He pointed out that the initiative concentrates on the youth and women through creating job opportunities for them mainly through micro-projects.

He declared that the initiative aims at providing all rural and remote areas with medical and educational services to decrease the migration to cities such as Cairo and Alexandria.    

He finally stressed that the initiative is also paying great attention for improving the infrastructure and housing, and facilitating the movement of elderly people and those with special needs.
