Dr Hagar Al Tonsi, Member of the organization committee of the World Youth Forum welcomed the United Nations’ recognition that the forum proved great success in empowering youth for being a platform and presenting their contemporary issues out in the open to be discussed at regional and international levels.

During a phone interview on (Cairo Local Time), she asserted that such a platform delivered an important message from Egypt that Youth are the future and their capabilities are worthy to be considered in order to get the best use of.

Over the past three years, the forum tackled in its 3 editions so important themes essential for society, for example counter-terrorism, democracy, digital marketing, artificial intelligence and promoting peace, she said, adding that the forum despite its suspension temporarily due to COVID 19 but it is working on many substantial activities in preparation for the next edition.

She concluded that the forum as recognized globally serves the 2030 sustainable development agenda including its indicators and criteria. “Haya Karima” is one of the national initiatives by young volunteers under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi to relieve citizens in rural communities and slums, which reflects the leadership’s keenness on youth empowerment.
