Ambassador Gamal Bayoumi, a Former Assistant to Foreign Minister, underlined that G7 Summit is an important meeting describing it as the board of directors of the whole world. We are keen to read the final communiqué as it says what is going to happen in the next year, he conveyed.

In a phone call with (Breakfast Show) programme, Bayoumi shed light on the two main files President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi focused on; the first is Africa's sufferings and "how the flow of money is going out much more than the money comes in because of its imports and debts". Meanwhile, its exports are weak and Egypt has an initiative trying to promote it, he illustrated.

"We want to make investment in Africa with the European, American, Japanese and Arab finance having the Egyptian experience in the continent", he said, believing that we made a good success towards that initiative.

Ambassador Bayoumi pointed out that the other file is the Egyptian one. "We are trying to market for the Egyptian economy" as Egypt is open with free trade areas with African and Arab countries in addition to our association agreement with Europe, he emphasized.

President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi had the chance to meet with his counterparts to discuss world concerning organized crimes as terrorism, money laundering, drug trafficking and illegal immigration, he mentioned adding that G7 obtain 40% of the GDP of the world and that's the importance of such a group.

As an economic expert, Bayoumi believed that the Egyptian exports to G7 countries which hit 3.8 billion dollars from Jan to June 2019 are not enough and we need to double our efforts as the European and American markets are huge where the American is the largest importer in the world. The results are positive, he said, but not enough, and "we have to exert more efforts in order to make our foreign direct investment in Egypt much more welcomed".

The phone interview came within a new episode of daily (Breakfast Show) conducted by Nevine Ramzy and Nermeen Abdel Rahman.  The program is written by Ola Abdel Salam and Inas Hegazy, and directed by Ahmed Abdel Aleem, Kholoud Marie, Raissa Shalaby, Abir Mosallam, Akram Beshara and Afaf George.
