Saeed Kishk, Islamic Researcher, Al Azhar University, said that Zakat (Charity), is regarded as a worship that helps in purifying and increasing our wealth. 

Kishk mentioned, in a new episode of (The Revelation) programme, that giving Zakat helps Muslims to be free from greed and selfishness and helps in spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing among the society. 

Moreover, he added that giving Zakat is one of the pillars of Islam, it indicates the truthfulness of the faith of who gives it, because he gives it only to gain the pleasure of Allah. 

Furthermore, the researcher added that fasting in the month of Ramadan also is another pillar of Islam, it also purifies our souls and helps us feel the pains of the poor and the hungry, which increase the sense of unity and love between the rich and the poor.

He finally pointed that pilgrimage, which is another pillar of Islam also spread this sense of equality and unity among all Muslims from different countries and different social status.
