Dr. Ahmed Badr, Tourism Expert, hailed a decision taken by the government allowing residents, tourists and amateurs to take photographs in public without permits, considering it as a great step. Tourism is about freedom, he added, and photography is a memory, with social media everybody posted his pictures all around the world especially when everybody is moving with a camera on his phone. Hence, controlling photography is not an easy job anymore and is not needed.

In a phone call with (Cairo Local Time), Badr shed light on some considerations that must be taken while capturing photos in museums or archaeological sites like using flash which was prohibited because along the time it harms the artifacts.

He also noted that taking photos is permitted for personal use but shooting films for instance still needed consent.

Badr hoped that such permissions made it easier, underlining that many countries around us considered shooting movies in their streets part of their national income.
