Tourism expert Sameh Saad shed light on the most important cultural events that took place in 2021 and attracted the attention of the whole world starting with the mummy’s parade and ending with the inauguration of the Avenue of Sphinxes in Luxor. Those major events had made propaganda for Egypt as the most important tourism hub, he reassured.
Over the phone to (Cairo Local Time), he elaborated that the tourism sector has revived more nowadays as Egypt is a winter destination in addition to the events which put it on a great position worldwide.
He said that restoring and developing our archeological sites serve to attract more visitors. New discoveries, he continued to illustrate, are one of the essential factors that converted Egypt to a touristic hub as well as the opening of the new civilization museum. The discoveries are located everywhere around Egypt from Upper Egypt to the Delta, he added, indicating that this changes the map of tourism in the country.
With the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), there will be a leap in the tourism sector, Saad confirmed, as the whole world is waiting for it.
