Ambassador Ali Hefny, Former Assistant to Foreign Minister, asserted that the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership is an important meeting held in the presence of President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi as it deals with Iraq and demonstrates its return to assume its role as a regional and international power. He said that it also displays the country as it takes initiatives to bring together the regional powers especially the Arab neighboring countries together.
In a phone call with (Cairo Local Times), Hefny added that such a meeting indicates a closing chapter of the past and opening of a new one relied on the necessity to enhance cooperation among those neighboring countries based on certain principles; no interference in the internal affairs of the countries and respect to the sovereignty of each of them.
