Shedding light on one of the most unique traditions of the Sinai pride clothes, Deena Yunis said that nowadays few Sinai women are skilled enough to prepare an entire bride’s trousseau as it was in the past.
During a new segment of Nile TV’s (Breakfast Show), Yunis highlighted the professions of the women in Sinai, saying that the professional needle women are specialized in one item only.
She clarified that this specialization is because each woman requires a good knowledge of specific stitch symbols and rules.
She added that the process of specialization of the needle women in making high quality has modified the ancient system of preparation of the Sinai bride’s trousseau.
