Dr. Mohamed Talaat, International Attorney, Legislative and Constitutional Expert, said that corruption is not a local phenomenon, but it is a global one that forms a threat for global security and development.
Dr. Talaat mentioned, during a phone conversation with (Breakfast Show), that the world marks the International Anti-Corruption Day which is observed annually on the 9th of December, after the United Nations adopted a convention against corruption in 2003.
He lauded President Sisi’s initiative that started 6 years ago to combat corruption as the reason for undermining ethical values and justice.
He pointed that Egypt played a vital role in fighting corruption in Africa through many forums and conferences , stressing that it is an important step for the prosperity of Africa and the welfare of its people.
Dr Talaat finally reiterated the role of the media, government officials as well as ordinary citizens to spread awareness of the laws and regulations that should be followed to end corruption.
