Ambassador Hussein Hareedy, Former Assistant to Foreign Minister, said that Egypt stands at equal distance from all Libyan factions and supports the integrity of Libya.
Amb. Hareedy mentioned, during a phone conversation with (Arab Affairs) program, that Cairo welcomed this week a delegation from southern Libya, aiming at bringing all Libyan parties together to achieve the stability in Libya.
He added that the delegation praised the efforts of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to reach a peaceful settlement for the Libyan crisis.
He stressed that the southern parts of Libya are very important because they are open to the Sahel and South Sahara region and any instability there will lead to the infiltration of terrorists that will threaten the security of the whole region.
He pointed out that all the delegations that come to Egypt are hopeful to fulfil the roadmap that was decided by the Berlin Conference, mainly the presidential elections.
