Tourism expert Walid el Batouty said that the inauguration of the New Aswan City is an absolute addition to the value of Egypt because Aswan is a magical city that has a lot of beautiful sites and unfortunately for years no one had shed light on the town. He stressed that the whole country is waiting for a prosperous touristic coming year.
In a phone call with (The Breakfast Show), he added that the Nubian people themselves are a great attraction to Aswan by their welcoming attitude. They deserve this new modern technological city. The people of Aswan are known for being the kindness of all Egyptians, he said, what makes the city unique and you feel more comfortable during your visit.
The new promising achievements in Aswan will be a reason for stopping the youth from immigration to the capital, El-Batouty believed. They now have almost everything they need, he illustrated, referring to the renovation of the Nile Cornish that was so beautifully constructed giving a place for people to enjoy their evenings that they are really interested in.
In addition, he pointed to the fact that the tourism sector will benefit from the development projects in Aswan city, conveying that it will “add nights” to the city; instead of cruising up and down for one night in Aswan, visitors will like to stay for more three or four days which will add economically to the city.
During a week in Upper Egypt, President Abdel-Fattah e-Sisi inaugurated a number of mega projects, El-Batouty mentioned believing that it is considered as positive news coming to the world from Egypt. In the same context, he also highlighted that Sisi pays attention to the whole country in general, not only Upper Egypt, stressing that the growth is happening throughout the entire country.
Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah e-Sisi inaugurated the first phase of New Aswan City on December 28, the latest in a series of projects opened in Aswan governorate as part of an inspection tour of development projects in Upper Egypt. Located on the West Bank of the River Nile , 12 km away from Aswan city, New Aswan city is established on 22,000 feddans to host nearly 850,000 people according to the New Urban Communities Authority.
